The Great Fire of London

We were really happy to come back to school; well some of us were!

We have been learning about The Great Fire of London.

The Great Fire of London started on Sunday 2 September 1666.” Sienna

It began in a bakery on Pudding Lane.” Nemuel

The baker’s name was Thomas Farriner.” Tia

6 people died in the fire.” Raiden

We enjoy learning about The Great Fire of London. Our favourite part was learning that the fire went out and London was rebuilt.

In Science we have been learning about animals including humans. We have made food diaries, we have looked at the food pyramid and we have analysed our diets to see if we have been eating the right amounts of protein, carbohydrates, dairy, fruits, vegetables and fats. Some of us discovered that our diets were very healthy. We also do early morning exercises in our class to keep our bodies fit and healthy.

We are learning how to play the recorder. Our first lesson was interesting and fun. We learnt to play the note B, how to hold the instrument correctly and have begun to read music. We are excited about next week’s lesson.

In Maths we have been learning our times tables, how to divide and we are getting pretty good at it!

We will update you with lots more soon.
