Rosen enjoying maths

May 4, 2018 | Year 3

The Year 3 children have started to learn to play brass instruments this term.  They have had to get to know how to hold the instruments and purse their lips to make a ‘buzzzzz’.

As we have been learning all about the Stone to Iron Age and the Anglo-Saxons, the Museum of London sent their Time Truck over to teach us all about archaeological digs.  It was a hands on workshop which gave us the opportunity to look at actual artefacts that have been discovered in London.  Some of the artefacts that we handled were hundreds of years old!

During Maths we became investigators.  We used peg boards and elastic bands to form 2D shapes.  We then had to spot the angles in each shape.
