We visited the New London Architecture City of London. We looked at some famous building designs; such as St Paul’s Cathedral and the shard. We found out about different features of architecture and why buildings need them. We then got to look at an amazing model of the city centre.
We were then given the task to design and build a building that had a purpose, was eco-friendly and that was 1m tall. It had to stand on its own for 10 seconds, but we were only allowed to use 10 pieces of A4 paper and a bit of tape. Could we do it?
During the week we had lessons to design and create our own buildings, this time we could use what we wanted.
